Thank you for all the things you put on earth,
kina kiig gaa-tooyin aw sa Nishnaabe wii-miigkadaawsod.
so that original beings could serve themselves.
Miigwetch newiing nekyaa mebimiseg,
Thank you for the 4 directions that go by,
Miigwetch wesiinyag gii-miizhiyang wii-wiisiniyang,
thank you for the animals so that we can eat,
Miigwetch bineshiinyag noodoonogwaa nagamwaad,
thank you for the birds that we hear them sing,
Miigwetch nbi biinaakizigoyang,
thank you for the water to cleanse our bodies,
Miigwetch gii-miizhiyang nokiiwin!
and thank you for the work you gave us!
Miinshinaag mina-de’ewin, wii-mina nokiitaadiyang,
Give us peace in our hearts, so that we can work together well,
